      The vice chancellor of University of Waterloo----Dr. Nello Angerilli, the president of School of Science----Dr. Terry McMahon visited the School of Science of Beijing Jiaotong University on May 5th. They were well received by our vice chancellor----Zhang Xingchen.
       The vice chancellor Zhang Xingchen welcomed them warmly. He briefly reviewed the cooperation process between the 2 universities and hosted the discussion about the nanomaterials and nanotechnology education project for undergraduates. He hoped this program could bring the advanced educational phylosophy and teaching resources, exert the strengths of both of them and assure the educational quality to cultivate knowledged, professional, creative talents with international talents. At the same time, he said the university would support School of Science to run the project smoothly.
          Dr. Nello Angerilli thanked the leaders of Beijing Jiaotong University for their warm welcome. He said this project is significant to the internationalization of the University of Waterloo. So they attached great importance to this project and planed to improve the project.
       After the meeting, the relevant representatives talked about the details of degree-granting, school management, teacher introduced and teaching management and control and reached consensus.
The vice chancellor of University of Waterloo----Dr Lin Shoufa, the Deputy Director of Sino-Canada cooperation project of University of Waterloo----Dr LI Changcheng, the deputy director of International Department Mr Deng Xinhua, the deputy director of Dean Yi Lixin, the leader Feng Qibo and Party Secretary Xieyu of School of Science also joined the meeting.
