On Oct 9th, 2013, the Sino-German Alzheimer Bilateral Forum, financed by Sino-German Science Center (National Natural Science Foundation of China and Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) and hosted by University of Charité–UniversitätsmedizinBerlinwas and College of Life Science and Bioengineering, School of Science, held in the Conference Center at Beijing Jiaotong University. Vice President Liu Jun gave a speech on behalf of the University and Professor He Jinsheng, Vice Dean of College of Life Science and Bioengineering, hosted the opening ceremony.
      
This meeting focused on the molecular and cellular pathogenesis of Alzheimer and more than 40 internationally acclaimed experts from Germany, America and China attended the conference. This Forum created opportunities and chances for Chinese and German scholars to cooperate and communicate in the field of Alzheimer's disease and neural degenerative diseases and enable scientists to discuss creative way of thinking, cutting-edge development and new methods.
